IT'S A WRAP! FALL SHOW ARTIST'S RECEPTION
"Visitation"
Last Sunday I participated in a plein air gathering with other artists at the Historic Matthew Kilgore Cemetery, which was established in 1874. Perhaps only pastellists could have appreciated the 30 mph wind that day, which blew the pastel dust away and just about everything else. I attempted to capture the effect of the wind among the branches of the grand old eucalyptus tree. It was a pleasant and, of course, very peaceful way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I hope to join in some other outings with the Sacramento Plein Air Painters. I love painting outdoors in nature's beauty. Our artwork will be exhibited on the second floor of Rancho Cordova City Hall from October to January.
